For this year's volunteering day, the Chorley Office took part in aiding the restoration of peatland for The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside at Holiday Moss, Rainford. The 3-hectare site is all that remains of a once much larger site, now lost to agriculture, forestry, and landfill. 98% of the UK's lowland raised peat bogs have been lost. Read more

You may be forgiven for failing to notice the launch of yet another climate disclosure framework at this years’ Conference of the Parties in Sharm El-Sheikh. One year ago, those following the corporate net zero agenda were digesting the SBTi’s new Net Zero target-setting standard, which was launched just before COP 26 and provided the first robust definition of what net zero actually means for corporates. The second was the GHG Protocol draft Land Sector and Removals Guidance, which sets out the associated rules for GHG accounting.
