Verco shortlisted for edie Net Zero Awards

We are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted for consultancy of the year at the edie Net Zero awards which will be taking place in November this year.

The Consultancy of the Year is one of 16 categories being judged by the edie expert panel. These new awards are focussed specifically on the work that individuals and organisations are doing to spearhead the transition towards a net zero carbon economy. This is something that we at Verco work towards on a daily basis.

Congratulations to all of the finalists, an impressive line-up of those who are achieving demonstrable results to accelerate the transition to net zero.

Consultancy of the year shortlist

Verco has over 30 years' experience of providing evidence and data driven solutions that are focused on enabling our clients’ transition to net zero. Our deep involvement in the development of industry standards, best practice and guidelines enables us to provide leadership and be the trusted partner that our clients need.

In 2022 we completed more than 100 detailed net zero audits identifying the reduction of more than 220,000 tonnes of carbon and more than £40million in operational cost savings.

We also place high expectations on our own organisation. We are carbon neutral and are working towards our ambitious carbon reduction target: To significantly contribute to 1MtCO2 of annual emissions reductions by 2025. This is the equivalent of 1% of the UK’s required reductions to meet the fourth carbon budget.

We have been B Corp certified since 2018, joining other organisations who are using business as a force for good. We have signed up to the B Corp net zero commitment and won BCorp awards in 2022 in both the Governance and Workers categories.

The Winners will be announced on the evening of 15th November at the awards ceremony in London.
