Verco shortlisted for the Global Sustainability & ESG Awards 2024
We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Global Sustainability & ESG awards 2024 within the Sustainable Consultancy Award category.
Sustainability LIVE London
The awards will be launched at the Sustainability LIVE London event on 10th of September at the Business Design Centre. The awards aim to encourage a more responsible approach to business by recognising those role models who apply sustainability principles in their operations and decision-making. The shortlist of finalists can be found here.
Some of Verco’s sustainability highlights:
- We have set our Net Zero Pathway, reduced operational emissions, been ISO 14001 compliant since 2011 and carbon neutral since 2020. We have also reduced Scope 1&2 carbon emissions per employee by over 80% since 2016. We’ve re-baselined our carbon footprint, based on 2022 figures.
- Out clients' carbon reduction targets contribute to 1MtCO2 of annual emissions reductions by 2025, 1% of the UK’s required reductions for the fourth carbon budget.
- We have been B Corp certified since 2018 and pledged to be net zero by 2030 through the B Corp Climate Commitment.
- In 2023, Verco was acquired by BIP as part of their Global Sustainability Centre of Excellence, allowing us to increase our impact and expand our reach into new sectors and geographies.
- In collaboration with the Renewable thermal collaborative and partners including GSK, P&G, Roche, Syngenta, Coca Cola Hellenic & Reckitt, we have developed a suite of tools which allow companies to identify and screen early-stage high temperature heat pump applications efficiently before committing to detailed engineering.
