Verco supports Pride month 2024

It’s Pride month. A time for us to come together to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and respect and to embrace the ongoing challenge of creating a society where everyone can feel they belong. At Verco we support Pride.

For Verco, whilst our business focus is on environmental sustainability, at our heart is our people. We truly believe that unique individuals working together as a team, whilst embedding a culture which respects everyone and all values, can harness innovative solutions that can change our future for the better. It’s in our mission - to "Develop a community of passionate and diverse professionals, committed to solving the complex challenges associated with climate change and resource efficiency."

Within society and the general workplace, inequalities continue to exist, which is why a focus on equality, diversity and inclusion is so important. It’s why Pride is so important. To remember the challenges already faced, to celebrate the progress and achievements and to look at what we can continue to do to support the LGBTQ+ community.

Our EDI team have put together a calendar of activities to inform, celebrate and communicate the importance of Pride. which will take place throughout the month to support Pride and raise awareness.

Celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community at Verco

  • We’ll be recognising the significant contributions members of the LGBTQIA+ community have made to our society in the arts and sciences.
  • We’ll be holding a Pride themed lunch, challenging ourselves to represent the colours of the Pride flag (look out for photos on X and Linkedin!) and raising money for Pride related charities, such as Stonewall.
  • Our partner company BIP are hosting a talk on how authentic empowerment of LGBTQ+ individuals can lead to a more inclusive professional environment with Jak Matthews, DEI manager BT Group and Lorena Gandolfini, Chief Marketing Officer at BIP.
  • And of course we’ll be waving the Pride flag literally and figuratively.
